The Sea Thieves are a post-folk collective helmed by Zac Coligan who create soundscapes, writing songs about the night, the slipping of time and the end. At this debut gig for the Sea Thieves big band they will play their 2020 COVID lockdown (live stream) released third record "Disquiet".

On this record The Sea Thieves envelop simple, timeless songs in atmosphere retaining the essence of the melody under layers of instruments like the singing saw and Optigan. Evoking a saddened but comforting feel, the songs speak of bigger picture ideas like family, love and death and all the beauty they bring. There is also an assured positivity running through it all, just enough to give us hope that everything will happen for a reason.
